Claire is a versatile player who can step in anywhere across the back line or in the centre of midfield. But it is at the heart of central defence that she has found her best form.

Towards the end of the 07-08 season she was tasked with controlling the back line. It was a responsibility she flourished under, and it took her game to new levels.

She is a vital member of the team. Ball control of her calibre is a rarely possessed skill for a central defender, and it gives the team a much needed link between defence and midfield. Her exceptionally long throw also adds bite to the HWFC attack.
